Saturday Morning Walk

Loggers at work,
The dogs did not see the bobcat I saw during our morning tromp.
Eight pounds of braun,
Mr. Bo Duke came to my call.
No snack for a displaced cat.

  1. Phew! That would be unnerving. (Up here we worry about bears)

    1. That was my warning to use a little more caution. We have wild hogs, coyotes. A bear makes it out this way every so often. With development, how long we have bears in central GA is numbered. Abeit the bears in Alaska are a greater danger. They say ours aren't as dangerous in that we have a larger food supply.

    1. Everyone is on a leash until the loggers finish. There are plenty of rabbits. Bobcat shouldn't get hungry even though it was skinny.

  4. Our world and that of the displaced animals are starting to blend into one, far too often, with negative consequences for both. I am glad that Mr. Bo Duke is ok. Hope the bobcat stays well, too. Thanks for shining a light on this disturbing trend.

  5. I am sooo grateful we don't have 'critters' like that to frighten our dogs. We have the odd dog or two that attacks another, but a bobcat...

  7. Bobcats are cool, but I agree it would be unnerving to meet one face-to-face!

  8. Now that is what I call scary!

A cougar attacked a friend of mine's dog a couple years ago-and amazingly, the dog survived!

Your thoughts.

Look out A to Z, I'll be back.

A to Z theme reveal. Well this theme is pretty weak. It is Dogs I have loved, fairy tales, myths, cats birds and what grows in my yard...  ...
