Sam Edge's entry.
This is trial 1.
Moving from under the bridge to a seedy interstate motel,
the eye-catching woman had Black jeans, black t-shirt, large breasts stretched
to her waist. Black braid belt, shirt
taut, bright orange hair gleaming.
A mix of thoughts, experiences, flash fiction, poetry and humor of Ann Bennett.
Zephyr is a soft, peaceful breeze. And I thought it had to be an imaginary animal. For many of you, we will not meet again until the next A...
Wow. You packed a lot of story in these 33 words. Great descriptive words though the breasts stretched down to the waist sound a little scary! :)
ReplyDeleteThe actual woman looked like a country club type. Her hair was blonde streaked with a redneck cut. Thats what made her stand out. She obviously was a working girl but she looked like you could clean her up, put on a suburban woman's clothes and be quite attractive. If I were to rewrite, I think I would say breasts flacid on ribcage. lol, I was not creative this week.
DeleteDefinitely eye-catching or should one say an eye sore?lol!Loved the larger than life picture you painted of this woman Ann:-)Btw,there is a typo I think-you meant " shirt taut" and not "taunt" possibly?
ReplyDeleteTwo heads are better than one. I spelled it wrong. You're kind to suggest typo. Thanks. The woman was real. What was shocking is she was attractive even though I know she was homeless. Thanks again.
DeleteShe sounds like a keeper :/ haha cute piece
ReplyDeleteOrange hair does beg for attention. Between that and the tight shirt, it seems like she knew how to market herself well :)
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading this. Honestly, I could picture the woman and the breast description. I have seen 'would be attractive women if cleaned up and dressed better' dressed exactly like you described in your piece. They aren't working girls or homeless. I just live in a small town in Southwest Va where make up, hair stacked, tight shirts and jeans, and large bust so they seemingly at first don't have a waist. lol. Or maybe I'm just picturing them while reading this. Either way, this was wonderful!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny because one does see colorful characters like this all the time.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up!
Take a drive anywhere around here these days and you could get quite a collection! I think I know that bridge. haha.
ReplyDeleteLove the contrast of seedy motel and gleaming orange hair.
I don't know, I kind of like yours. I thought the 'black braid belt' interesting in the descriptions...
